It's me who turns up

WAC Automotive Solutions is William Church. Most people call me Bill. I answer the phone, I give you the price and I do the work. There's no call centre and I don't pass jobs to anyone else.

I'm based in Shrewsbury and I've worked in auto electronics for more than ten years. The van carries seven key programming systems, including Autel, Xhorse and Smart Pro, so most cars and vans can be done in one visit.

If yours is one I can't do, I'll tell you before you book, not after I arrive.

Why sort a spare now

It usually costs less

Copying a key you still have is a simpler job than replacing every key from nothing, so it is normally the cheaper route.

You don't get stranded

With a second key at home, a lost or broken key is an annoyance. Without one, it can mean a day off work waiting for help.

It helps when you sell

Buyers and dealers usually expect two keys, so having a spare makes the car easier to sell.

What I make keys for

Ford, Vauxhall, VW, BMW, Audi, Nissan, Toyota, Peugeot, Citroen, Kia, Hyundai, Land Rover, Jaguar, Fiat, SEAT, Skoda, Abarth and plenty more. Cars and vans. Mercedes up to 2014 models only.

A spare key sorts the day you lose one. If you're worried about the car being taken, I also fit security systems at your home or yard. I'm an approved installer for Autowatch Ghost, Ecotrak, Meta Trak and Scorpion.

Ghost immobiliser

The Autowatch Ghost adds a step only you know before the car will drive, so a cloned key or a relay box isn't enough to take it. It's hidden in the car's own wiring and there's no extra fob to carry. I check it suits your vehicle before you book.

Trackers

Thatcham approved S5 and S7 trackers for cars and vans, and tracking for business fleets. If your insurer has asked for a tracker, send me their exact wording and I'll match the right category.

Ecotrak S5 Deadlock

A tracker that can also stop the vehicle. It stays immobilised unless your driver tag is with it, and it's watched around the clock by an NSI approved monitoring centre. It carries Thatcham certificate TSC577.

How much is a spare car key?

It depends on the make, model, year and type of key. Fill in the form and I'll give you a price for your exact vehicle before any work starts.

Do you need my existing key?

For a spare, yes. Having a working key keeps the job simple. If you've lost every key I can still help. Pick "No" in the form and I'll price it as a lost key job.

Will the new key work like the original?

Yes. It's cut to your lock and programmed to your vehicle, and I test it alongside your existing key before I leave.

Where do you do the work?

At your home, your workplace or wherever the vehicle is. You don't need to take it anywhere.

Are there any hidden charges?

No. You get a clear price before I start and there are no hidden callout fees.

Which areas do you cover?

Shrewsbury, Telford, Oswestry, Ludlow, Bridgnorth, Stafford, Welshpool, Newtown and the places in between. If you're a bit further out, ask.
