Who we are

This website is run by WAC Automotive Solutions LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16559709). Registered office: 10 Park Plaza, Battlefield Enterprise Park, Shrewsbury SY1 3AF. We are the data controller for the information you send us through this site.

You can contact us about your information at info@wacauto.co.uk or on 07356 240424.

What we collect

If you complete the quote form we collect:

• your name and mobile number
• your postcode
• your vehicle make, model and year, the type of key, whether you have a working key and when you need the work done
• whether you arrived from one of our Google adverts

If you phone us, we will have the number you called from and whatever you tell us on the call.

Why we use it

We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, give you a price and, if you go ahead, carry out and record the job. We do not use them for marketing and we do not sell or share them for anyone else's marketing.

Our lawful basis is that you have asked us for a quote (taking steps at your request before entering into a contract) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business.

Who handles it for us

• Twilio delivers your enquiry to us as a text message.
• Cloudflare hosts this website and passes your enquiry to Twilio.
• Google provides advertising measurement, only if you accept cookies (see below).

These companies may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as approved contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

This website does not keep a copy of your enquiry once it has been sent to us. We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and afterwards only where we need to for accounting, tax or legal reasons.

Cookies

We use Google Ads measurement to understand which adverts lead to enquiries. This is switched off by default. Nothing is stored for advertising or measurement unless you choose "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you choose "No thanks", the site works in exactly the same way.

We store your cookie choice in your browser so we do not have to ask again. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of the main page.

The fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google to fetch them.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to how we use it or ask us to restrict that use. To do any of these, email info@wacauto.co.uk.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
